Bay Area Bangladesh Association (BABA) is a non-profit, non-political, and secular organization focusing on improving the lives of individuals and communities through education, advocacy, and support.

The objectives are:

  1. To empower children through art, sports, and cultural experiences. We believe that every child has the potential to thrive when given the opportunity to explore their creativity, engage in physical activity, and learn about diverse cultures.

  2. Provide children with access to high-quality art instruction, athletic training, and cultural education, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. We believe that these experiences not only enhance children's skills and knowledge but also promote self-confidence, teamwork, and a sense of community.

  3. To promote goodwill and understanding among the members of the organization as well as between the members and other ethnic groups in the Bay Area.

  4. To help Bangladeshis arriving in the Bay Area adjust to the social, economic, and cultural conditions of this country.

  5. To help develop economic and educational growth in Bangladesh.

  6. To keep the cultural heritage of Bangladesh alive among the Bangladeshi residents in Northern California through cultural and educational programs and exchanges.

Preserving, promoting, and enhancing an understanding of Bangladeshi culture and its values among our children and the broader community.
